App Features

Bucketlist

The main feature of our app is the bucketlist of activities and places to check out. This feature allows users to see a snapshot of the locations alongside a short description and link to relevant websites. The list will have different categories of activities for users to scroll through such as restaurants, shopping, outdoors, study spots and entertainment.

Map

The bucketlist will be accompanied by a full map with pinpoints on all of the best locations to visit in the Athens area.

Journal Entries

Users will have the ability to submit journal entries for each of the activities they accomplish. The journal entries feature is meant to be a fun and interactive way for users to write reviews and capture their experiences.

Team

Grace Milam

Meet Grace, the team's app developer! Grace is a senior studying Management Information Systems in Terry and is also in the New Media Certificate program. Some of her skills include programming with Java, JS, Swift, and R, as well as data analytics and visualization. Throughout this semester Grace has worked on developing the Alpha, Beta, 1.0 and 1.1 for Athventure.

Jillian Smalls

Meet Jillian, one of the team's research analysts and brand developers! Jillian is a senior double majoring in Entertainment & Media Studies and Marketing. Some of her relevant skills include brand communication, consumer research, social media marketing, Adobe Premiere Pro, video production, Wordpress and HTML/CSS. Jillian has had a hand in both the exploratory and user research as well as the product FAQ, visual design documentation and brand style guide.

Maddy Franklin

Meet Maddy, another one of the team's research analysts and brand developers! Maddy is currently a senior majoring in journalism and minoring in communication studies. Some of her skills include communication, writing, editing, Adobe Creative Cloud such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, WordPress, and HTML/CSS. Maddy has worked alongside Jillian in developing the explorator and user research, and visual design documentation specifically the logo.

Katie Dang

Meet Katie, the team's go to social media marketing girl and UX designers. Katie is a senior majoring in International Affairs and a new media certificate student as well. Some of her talents lie in Adobe Creative Cloud such as Photoshop, Illustrator and XD as well as graphic design, research, web design and social media marketing. Throughout this semester Katie has been responsible for building the project plan, UX map, SLAM promotional content and other social deliverables.

Madison Pruitt

Meet Madison, another one of the team's UX designers, web developers and public relations specialist. Madison is a senior Public Relations major, Communication Studies minor and of course, New Media Certificate student. Some of her relevant skills and interests include Adobe Creative Cloud such as XD, Spark, Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop as well as HTML/CSS, branding, social media marketing and writing. This semester Madison has worked on the press release, UX Map, and website beta.
