The ProblemS

Covid-19 impact

Due to the ongoing global pandemic, NCAA has suspended in-person recruiting for Division 1 athletic programs. For the Gymdogs, this has meant no touring the University, Facilities, or Athens, and not being able to attend meets or meet the team.

The Gymdog Legacy

The Gymdog program has a long history of success. With 10 National Championship titles and the most titles of any Division 1 school, it is easy to see. In addition to a successful program, the Gymdogs value the legacy beyond the mat. With the influence of the Gymnastics program, University academics, and town of Athens, the Gymdogs value the impact left on their alumni and how they use their time at UGA to attain their own personal success.

New Competitors

Despite the GymDogs rich history, they are still a little behind as we move further and further into the digital era. A common thread across all the top Division 1 programs is a strong social media presence. Although Georgia has a steady presence across various social channels, competitors are far more advanced and popular.

That's where we come in

Our talented team is building a collection of Augmented Reality to filters to bridge the gap between the team and their fans. By using state of the art augmented reality software, we hope to empower UGA gymnasts to tell their stores through new, creative mediums.
