Inspiration

Typeface Inspiration:

For our typefaces, we decided to use both a serif and a sans serif. Although sans serif typefaces give a modern feel, we felt as though travel could be better represented with a serif. DM Display (Rocky) is a high-contrast transitional typeface that we felt paired well with our body copy, Poppins, which is a geometric sans serif typeface. By having two different typefaces, we allowed ourselves more range when creating our brand identity.

Color Inspiration:

Our initial color palette was inspired by traveling (Adobe Color) and based on a complementary blue and orange scheme. While these choices aligned with our theme, we also recognized the importance of incorporating a variety of secondary colors. This included dark green and tints of each color, as well as the background and typeface color. Our aim was to create vibrant colors that also exuded professionalism. We found that the darker colors maintained a professional feel, while the lighter, brighter colors added a fun charm.
