About

Project Details

Our team was tasked with building the very infrastructure that makes up Code for Athens. We strategically crafted different ways for the organization to interact with potential volunteers and have listed them in detail below. Each of these items were created with our newly designed logos, fonts, and colors to create a cohesive and recognizable Code for Athens brand.

Website

The website was designed through WordPress, utilizing the paid theme Uncode. As a new organization, the website focuses mainly on attracting passionate volunteers who have an interest in helping their community.

Social Media

We created social media accounts on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. In addition, we built a newsletter sign-up form through Mailchimp, created a MeetUp page for people to RSVP to events, and made a Slack channel for volunteers to network and create projects together.

Kickoff Event

To kickstart the launch of the new organization, we organized an event to inform prospective volunteers of Code for Athens's mission. We promoted the event on social media and prepared an agenda in order to lead the event that took place in-person and on zoom.
