Georgia Seafood On My Mind
Visual Design Guide
Our team mocked up several logo iterations before landing on this one. Since we’re promoting the Georgia coast and its seafood, we wanted the logo to include imagery reflecting that. This logo’s circular shape is reminiscent of a lifebuoy or porthole, the inside of which contains ocean waves. The first half of our brand name is splashed across the center like a ribbon to continue the rounded shape of everything, with our founding year displayed on top and the second piece of our brand name on the bottom. Our other logo style is just the Georgia Seafood ribbon and fits more conveniently in different, more narrow spaces.

As our brand focuses on the coast and its seafood, we designed a nautical color palette and named the colors accordingly. Along with our blues and greens, we use white (like that of this website background, hex code #ffffff) as a stark, contrasting neutral color for typography and the like when necessary.

Our logo and header font, Acier, has an inner pattern that looks almost like wood grain, bringing to mind images of a rustic table in a restaurant or dock overlooking the sea. A solid version of Acier is featured on the bottom half of the logo as well. Our body font Myriad is sophisticated and allows for easy reading.
Acier Page Titles (size: 5rem or 80px, weight: 400)
Acier Section Headers (size: 3rem or 48px, weight: 400)

Myriad Body Text (size: 1rem or 16px, weight: 500)
The following are graphic templates to use for Instagram stories and posts. They incorporate our color scheme, some shots of the shoreline, and photos of delicious seafood.
